Plunger, progressive cavity, diaphragm and metering pumps deliver a fixed volume every revolution — so flow follows speed, and speed is exactly what a drive controls. You know the pumps. We know the drives that meter, protect and run them.
A PD pump doesn't ease into its load like a centrifugal. It demands near-full torque from the moment it turns, holds that torque flat across the whole speed range, and pushes back with the pulsing, reciprocating load of every plunger stroke or cavity.
You can't throttle a valve to trim flow — that just builds pressure until something gives. And deadheading a PD pump against a closed line is how you split a casing or pop a relief valve. Generic drives stall at low speed, nuisance-trip on the pulses, and give you no clean way to meter or protect.
Because a PD pump moves a fixed volume per revolution, flow tracks speed almost perfectly — so a Phase VFD turns the pump into a precise, adjustable metering device. Dial the rate you want and hold it, no bypass loop, no throttling valve, no waste.
Our drives deliver full constant torque down to low speed for real turndown, ride through the pulsing load without nuisance trips, and use current limiting to protect against over-pressure and deadhead. Soft-start ends the water-hammer shock of across-the-line starting.
PD pumps are a constant-torque load — DX and LH Series drives hold full torque down to low speed, so you get real turndown instead of a pump that stalls when you slow it.
Flow follows speed on a PD pump, so set the rate by frequency and hold it. Meter chemical or fluid injection to target — no bypass loop, no throttling valve, no waste.
Ramp a loaded PD pump up smoothly — no across-the-line inrush and no water-hammer pressure spike slamming the plunger, seals and discharge line on every start.
Current limiting caps torque, so a blocked or deadheaded line trips the drive before it splits a casing or pops a relief valve — protection built into the drive, not bolted on.
The DX Series is the field-proven workhorse behind countless injection and metering pumps — simple to set up, reliable in the heat and dust, and easy for a crew to service.
NEMA 3R enclosure options built for the pad or injection skid — sun, dust, chemical-laden air and the temperature swings of a remote site.
Cellular remote monitoring for unmanned sites. Injection rate, run status, fault history and runtime from your phone — know before you drive out.
Drive, motor protection, controls and enclosure in one UL 508A panel — built and tested in-house, shipped as one SKU with one number to call.
Wherever a positive displacement pump meters or moves fluid, a Phase drive can run the motor — holding torque at low speed and metering flow with precision.
From a compact metering drive to a fully integrated, listed pump-control panel, Phase has a drive solution sized to your motor and your skid.

The go-to drive for positive displacement. Field-proven reliability on chemical injection, metering, plunger and progressive cavity pumps — simple setup, built-in motor protection, full torque at low speed, and configurable I/O for rate feedback. Rugged, serviceable, and sized to the motor.

When power quality matters, the active-front-end LH Series meets IEEE 519 natively and keeps power clean where several pumps share one transformer — while delivering the same full constant torque for precise PD-pump metering and turndown.

Complete PD-pump control panels built and tested in-house — VFD, disconnect, motor protection, HOA, and transducer wiring in a NEMA 3R enclosure. Engineered to your motor and shipped ready to set.
Need more than a drive? Our UL 508A panel shop builds complete, listed dewatering control assemblies, including VFD, bypass, HOA, motor protection, and wiring, engineered for your pump HP, input voltage, and NEMA rating.

Choosing the correct pump drive involves more than matching horsepower. Incoming voltage, phase availability, pump type, motor lead length, pressure requirements, environmental conditions, harmonic limits and control preferences can all affect the final system design.
Phase Technologies offers residential drives, general-purpose DXL drives, low-harmonic LHX drives, phase-converting systems, voltage-doubling configurations and customized control panels from a single U.S. manufacturer.
Whether you need constant pressure for a home, three-phase motor control for an irrigation well or a customized low-harmonic panel for a municipal pumping station, our team can help configure a system around the way your site actually operates.
