Phase Technologies Announces New Global Headquarters
in Rapid City, South Dakota
Phase Technologies increases main manufacturing facilities to 225,000 square feet
New headquarters starting mid-January 2021. Previously occupied by Littelfuse, Inc.
RAPID CITY, SD (January 4, 2021) — Phase Technologies is relocating its entire operations mid-January 2021 into a 225,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution space located at 222 Disk Drive in the northwest part of Rapid City. The move will provide space to extensively expand production capabilities and become a more vertically integrated manufacturer.
Phase Technologies specializes in engineering and manufacturing variable frequency drives (VFDs) and its flagship product, the Phase Perfect® Digital Phase Converter. With in-house engineering and R & D teams, the need for additional capacity was inevitable to manufacture the new products in development. The new facility has updated HVAC, including dedicated HVAC in lab rooms, ceiling heights up to 32’, 11 loading docks, a 1,000 CFM compressed air system, and an expansive data centre to name a few features. With the previous owners/businesses, the building accommodated up to 1,200 employees with five shifts.
“Expanding our operation to Disk Drive will allow us to capitalize on our aggressive growth plans,” says CEO Nick Kingsbury. “Rapid City is a great place to do business. We have a great team and look forward to continued investment in this area for many years to come.”
Phase Technologies will be starting the move process the first few weeks of January and plans for minimal downtime in production and shipping product. “We’re excited for the opportunity this larger facility provides to grow our business. Our goal is to minimize disruptions during the move. We are shooting to have company-wide operations back at full strength within two weeks.” adds COO Todd Aldren.
The current building on East Main St. N. will not be retained after the move.
